Plan on roughly 30–40 hours to finish the main story. That is Bit Reactor's estimate for an average player, not a guaranteed runtime. Difficulty and familiarity with turn-based strategy are the two variables the developer calls out directly. [ea-questions]

Why your playtime may differ

Zero Company is not a straight sequence of combat maps. A cycle can include conversations at the Den, strategic Operations, optional Tactical Missions, equipment and roster decisions, and a story-critical deployment. The game also asks you to choose between expiring assignments rather than clear every item on the map. [starwars-guide]

Expect a longer run if you:

  • play on a demanding setting or use permadeath;
  • retry encounters after losses;
  • spend time comparing recruits, equipment, and Specializations;
  • pursue optional character missions and Den conversations.

A lower difficulty, disabled permadeath, and direct focus on Critical missions can reduce friction, but the official estimate still describes the main campaign rather than a speedrun.

Is there New Game+?

There was no New Game+ mode at launch. EA says subsequent playthroughs can unlock certain customization options, but it has not described a separate New Game+ campaign structure. [ea-questions]
