These characters have fixed histories and voiced scenes. Custom Operators fill additional roster slots and can be tailored in appearance, Specialization, and loadout. The two groups use the same tactical campaign but do not offer the same authored conversations.
Bennic Halloren, Runa Blask, Neesh Renark, and M-3VO support the company from its base. They handle parts of the operation and story presentation rather than appearing as another set of generic recruits. Return to the Den between Missions to catch conversations and personal assignments before the Cycle advances.
Deploying Operators together can improve their Bond and unlock paired combat synergies. Conversations provide context for those relationships, and some character threads lead to personal missions. A strong tactical pairing may therefore grow through repeated use, but fatigue, injuries, and mission requirements still matter.
Bonds do not create romance routes. The romance status page explains that boundary. For actors confirmed at SDCC, use the voice-cast guide.
Not every named character is available on every mission, and story deployments can require Hawks or another specific Operator. Keep enough developed recruits to cover absences rather than building around one fixed four-person team. The character index separates companions, custom Operators, support staff, and enemies.
