What the cast announcement confirms

The SDCC 2026 announcement names "Anakin Skywalker: Matt Lanter" alongside Hawks, Kundri Fathom, and Trick. Lanter previously voiced Anakin in animated Star Wars productions, but the announcement does not say that every prior storyline or relationship is part of this game.

Is Anakin a permanent squad member?

The cast list confirms an appearance, not the roster rules attached to that appearance. EA describes Hawks as Zero Company's leader and presents the core team as a mix of authored and custom Operators. Anakin should not be advertised as a player-created lead, a permanent recruit, or a freely selectable character in every Operation without mission-level evidence.

Spoiler boundary

Screenshots, achievements, and walkthroughs can reveal when Anakin appears and what he does. This profile keeps those details out of the direct answer so someone checking the cast does not receive an unwanted campaign spoiler. The story-mode guide explains the campaign structure without listing late plot events.
